Use either of the methods below to pair and connect Tapo Sub-1G devices to a Tapo Hub.
Before you begin
- Get the Tapo app from the Google Play Store or App Store, or scan the QR code below.
- Check that your Tapo hub is already configured and online.
Pairing methods
These instructions use the Tapo T100 smart motion sensor as the example.
Using the Tapo app
- Launch the Tapo app. Tap the plus icon at the top right, then select Add Device.
- Choose Sensors, then select Tapo T100.
- If you have multiple hubs, choose the one you want to connect the sensor to. With only one hub, the app skips this step automatically.
- Use the on-screen instructions to turn on the sensor and pair it with the hub.
Using the SYNC button
- Enable pairing mode on your Tapo motion sensor.
Note: For other Sub-1G devices, consult their user manuals for the pairing-mode procedure.
- Enable pairing mode on the hub:
- Tapo H100/H200/H110: Single-press the SYNC button for 1 second.
- Tapo H500: Hold the Answer/SYNC button for 3 seconds.
- Once pairing finishes, the sensor appears on the Tapo app home page.
